Welcome to STELARA

Your doctor has prescribed STELARA® (ustekinumab) as a treatment for your inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). IBD is a term used to describe two conditions that cause ongoing inflammation of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract: Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

STELARA is used to treat people with:

  • Crohn’s disease (CD) – including fistulising Crohn’s disease (fCD)
  • Ulcerative colitis (UC)

This website is provided by Janssen-Cilag Pty Ltd as an information resource for patients prescribed STELARA and to demonstrate correct injection technique. It is not intended to replace the advice of your doctor or other healthcare professional. If you have any further questions about your condition or treatment, please speak to your doctor or healthcare professional.

How to self-administer STELARA

If you and your doctor decide together that you can self-inject STELARA, you will use either the STELARA vials or a pre-filled syringe.

Before you can self-inject, your doctor or another healthcare professional will show you how. Further information on how to inject STELARA can be found in the CMI.
